Hello my friends this time I will project to a happy future and will tell you about my dream job.
My ideal job would be to do research in the recent line of animal genetic and trying to improve gene therapy in animals. For those who ignore the topic , this is a branch of medicine created about 10 years ago . The main objetive of the gene therapy is to cure hereditary and some acquired disease like Diabetes , Muscular Distrofia and also blidness by the introduction of healthy genes throught carriers ( that generally are virus ) in the target cells ( cell that have the faulty gene which expression create molecular disorders which together origin the disease) , this is a very dangerous practice because the virus do not always reach their objetive .
So far this line of investigation has had a great advance in human medicine ( see memories of the future , a very good serie of the BBC) but this has not been implemented directly on animals , wich would solve serious hereditary problems experienced by some pets , especially in purebreeds (remember the last video ).
Unfortunately for ethical and technological problems actually gene therapy could only act on body cells and not in germs cells , this mean that the disease can be cure individually but you can not prevent that this disease passed on to future generations .
About work , I think when someone do what he really likes , feels passion for the topic , and also he helps to crate a better world no matters hours or money

My favourite subject

the subject that I like was zoology  , first because I love biology and for me is very interesting study  the anatomy of all the species (their tissues, their organs ..etc), second because through zoology you can  understand how the animals biology's sistems had been evoluted  to provide a better adaptation to their owners ( since a little worm to a big lion ) and I think that is amazing  that all the adaptations that you read in a book in 30 seconds  last more than 2000 years  to happen ,for example  the  many adaptations like changes in the muscles ,  respiratory sistem  and the skeleton     that the acquatics organism had to do  for live in earth , this fact was one of the most difficult in the evolution and one of my favourites topics too , or know that the birds had in theirs lungs gas baggs that permit their fly , and finally  because since I was in school I wanted to study this subject .
I like in specially the practises seasons because you can see in front of your eyes all the thinks that you read in books , in specially  organs that have very strange names .(Is very unhappy that some people think that this  class were against animals , because finally if one vet didn't knew well the innard anatomy of the animals ,how this vet could  do good surgeries in the future?)

Thanks Cesar Millan

I admire Cesar Millan , he is a American -Mexican   famous trainer of dogs ( a very strange work ) .
First I talk a little about his life . At the begining he worked in a dogs grooming store with the most agressive dogs , then he created The Pacific Point Canine Academy  , then he built a Dog psychology center .
Actually he works in a  program  named Dog Whisperer . In this program he teachs people how to understand the psychology and behavior of  dogs and how to trains the differents breeds, specially agressive breeds because sometimes people treat dogs like humans and thus  he teach bad habits  . Millan said that  dogs really need  strong 'pack leadership' from their owners,  discipline and affection (in that order).
I specially like him because when I was a child I was afraid for the big dogs specially Rottweiler or Doberman  I couldn't cross a street if a dog was in the middle of it . One day I couldn't went into the school because a dog was in the door  of the school , was terrible , but then I saw The  Dog Whisperer and then I could understand the  psychology and behavior of the dogs , and that was very simple , the dog were animals that live in groups so they  need a leader , If you behavior like a leader the obey you .I could undertand too why the dogs always bark me , and that was because they  can smell your afraid , he said that when you were afraid  , you produce a hormone that you can't smell but they can , and they take it how a  agressive warning. So the solution was very easy I didn't have to feel  nervious when I was near a big  dog  .Finally I  apply his philosophy and now I study vet , thanks Cesar .

The reason why I want to be a vet

Hello guys this time I want to tell you the reasons why I want to be a vet .
Early when I had 11 years old I wanted  to study  robotic ingineering , but in the way of my life I realize that I love biology more than anything else , and now I think that I saw so many fiction films , like I robot , then I thought in Medicine but I realized that I really hate the hospitals and I hate the smell of hospital too , I think that is the smell of the death
Then I'm sure that I`m going to study Biotechnology , because for me the genetic and the cell structure was very amazing , in the past blog I said that for me the genetic is a form of God manifestation , but  then I realize that Biotechnology was a very , very new career in this country (universidad de Chile give that career only five years ago ) and job was very scarse  , and worst I realized that biotechnology have many physics subjets  , then I wanted to cry , because I didn't want to be a Albert Einstein .
Finally I thought in the area of animal genetic and the improve of the breeds , first I'm not very sure that this area really exist in Chile , but when I went to the university fair , I realize that it really exist and better , the best professor of genetic is in the Universidad de Chile.
But guys don't think that I only study vet for that reason I love the animals too , and I think that veterinary is a very important job (also the chilean society don't think that)  , because we have too many responsabilities in public health area , and in foods area.

A little Introduction

Hello all the guys that enjoy with the wonders of the animal kingdom and dreams with a  happy world where the    men's technology can coexist with the Nature , my name is Junger Moore Lazo ( please ,  If I have a germany name don`t means that I know germany or that I was related with germans   for other way    my grandfather was  English and he was from York) , I'm 18 years old and my neighborhood is  Ñuñoa . Well , If you want to know more for my life I tell you that in this moment I study veterinary in Universidad de Chile (the best chilean univesity and the best soccer team  too) , and I'm very interested in animal genetic and biotechnology , first because for me its a amazing thing  that all the forms, body funtions , and most of the diseases in animals and humans are control by  genes and that genes are control by master genes ,it is like if God or Nature had been created a computer program named cell and every new life even every new individual was a improvement of that first program .
And second because I think that Chile is long land , but besides tourism we don't use this land for anything  practical ,  we aren't a productive country , and we don't made anything  , so I think that we can improve this situation with the use of new technologies like biotech , for example a few years ago Argentina wasn't a important country in the area of soja productivity but through the use of biotech they are now one of the most important countries in this area .
So if you have  some new or interesting  information in this area sending a            e-mail to junger.moore@gmail.com
